I'm back!!!

Hi all!! 

It's been 2 months, 3 months to be exact, since I last updated any "useful", "real" post. Here are my excuses I have made for myself:

If you have read my previous post, you should have known that I went to Japan for 2.5 months. Too busy travelling and the lack of wifi lead to the no post during my whole travelling period. 

After I came back from Japan on the 16th of Jan, I was busy planning for the next trip to Hong Kong on the 24th. Meeting up with my friends, catching up on dramas and mostly editing of videos all lead to the no post. 

And so, for apologies, there will and might be a series of post on my time in Japan, my opinion of Japan, and a short post of my trip in Hong Kong. Maybe the Hong Kong one comes first, since that will be the easiest. I'll try my best to make it a post a week since I have to try balancing up everything - applying job, editing videos and the upcoming Chinese New Year @.@. 

This is yet another not useful post, but bear with me while I try to "create" something.

For starter, here's a video of the accommodation I stayed in my first internship area. A little bit dry as I was trying to use to the camera.

Quitting ICAEW (Not official)

It's finally a holiday!! There has been a paused to my blogpost as I was really busy attending classes, studying and taking exams. However, those are not relating to ICAEW. I believed that I have told you of my changing of plan long before I went to volunteer in Japan. Internship Experience in Ryokan (旅館 - Japanese-styled Hotel)

'いらっしゃいませ' (Irasshaimase!)、'ありがとうございます' (Arigatou gozaimasu!) Very common terms but the most polite terms. These 2 terms accompanied me during my whole internship period.  If you do not know, I internship-ed in Japan for 2 months in the service industry. To know how I came across this internship opportunity, click here .  The ryokans, aka Japanese-styled hotel, that I worked in were Takimotokan Yukinosato (滝元館遊季の里) and Umi no Hana (海の花). They are luxury ryokans strategically located closed to tourist attractions, which provide great hospitality and ultimate relaxation to the guests. Internship Experience in Ryoutei (料亭)

Ryoutei is a luxurious traditional Japanese restaurant, which served kaiseki style meals for business and formal meetings (source from Wikipedia). Everyone that goes to a Ryoutei has a purpose. It is not just a simple filling the stomach meal. It can be a business meeting, a celebration, a family meeting, a book sharing session, a reunion, a party or any occasion you can think of, which is why the customers going there are usually dressed formally. Having said that, anyone are welcomed to visit a ryoutei to enjoy the exquisite, delicate meal prepared by a qualified chef and served by the beautiful omotenashi-san (something like waitress?). However, do remember to make a reservation in advance as meals are prepared freshly according to the number of customers.
