My result came out just now and I finally PASSED my final paper for the  professional level!!!


Did you know?

There's a credit list and a pass list.
It is a list that shows the name of all the candidates that pass a paper. While both only show professional papers result for that seating, there is a slight difference to it. Only those who have passed all the papers in professional level will be listed in the pass list, while others in the credit list. The marks will not be revealed and therefore it is opened to the public. You can access this through here: http://examresults.icaew.com/home/Index/


You can receive your result through SMS and/or email.
  1. Log in to your account 
  2. Click "For current ACA students"
  3. Click the "result notification link"
  4. Click "Manage email / SMS results notification"
  5. Choose your preference
With this, your results will be sent to you at around 12.00 (UK time) or 19.00 (Malaysia time). You won't have to frantically log in to the ICAEW website as the website may be quite slow due to the high traffic. 


That's all. I remembered I promised to write about some tips to pass. But, that would be after I am done with my Sarawak trip. Ciao!

It's finally a holiday!! There has been a paused to my blogpost as I was really busy attending classes, studying and taking exams. However, those are not relating to ICAEW. I believed that I have told you of my changing of plan long before I went to volunteer in Japan. Internship Experience in Ryokan (旅館 - Japanese-styled Hotel)

'いらっしゃいませ' (Irasshaimase!)、'ありがとうございます' (Arigatou gozaimasu!) Very common terms but the most polite terms. These 2 terms accompanied me during my whole internship period.  If you do not know, I internship-ed in Japan for 2 months in the service industry. To know how I came across this internship opportunity, click here .  The ryokans, aka Japanese-styled hotel, that I worked in were Takimotokan Yukinosato (滝元館遊季の里) and Umi no Hana (海の花). They are luxury ryokans strategically located closed to tourist attractions, which provide great hospitality and ultimate relaxation to the guests. Internship Experience in Ryoutei (料亭)

Ryoutei is a luxurious traditional Japanese restaurant, which served kaiseki style meals for business and formal meetings (source from Wikipedia). Everyone that goes to a Ryoutei has a purpose. It is not just a simple filling the stomach meal. It can be a business meeting, a celebration, a family meeting, a book sharing session, a reunion, a party or any occasion you can think of, which is why the customers going there are usually dressed formally. Having said that, anyone are welcomed to visit a ryoutei to enjoy the exquisite, delicate meal prepared by a qualified chef and served by the beautiful omotenashi-san (something like waitress?). However, do remember to make a reservation in advance as meals are prepared freshly according to the number of customers.
