Manga: Mishounen Produce

It's been a while since I posted a manga review. So, let me introduce to you "Mishounen Produce" written by Ichinose Kaoru.

About: The story involves mainly a teenage girl, Kahara Kako, and a teenage boy, Yamami Kousei, who both came from a very rural area. Unable to bear the insult from the city girls about the appearance of Kousei, Kako is determined to transform her childhood friend based on an old manga series - Lawrence and Rose to make them regret. Kousei transformation become a huge success and his development extends beyond what Koka is expecting, what will she do? Will they be separated or will they be together? To add a little excitement to this manga, Ichinose Kaoru added a few rivals to compete with Kousei's beauty and charm and gave plain Kako a hidden identity and that is what bothered Kosei. 

I first came across this manga when I was looking through Facebook and the title of this manga attracted me. I was glad that this manga is completed. Immediately, I started reading it. 

"Mishounen Produce" has a beautiful, clean and clear artwork that would definitely attract a lot of shoujo manga lovers. Besides, the artist did a great work in drawing the characters beautifully and can be easily distinguished from one another. Readers that read this manga will probably have their heart skip a beat when they see the handsome gentlemen. 

From this manga, I have learnt that nobody is ugly, everyone can be beautiful as long as they believe it. Also, one thing needs to be sacrificed in order to gain another thing.

It's finally a holiday!! There has been a paused to my blogpost as I was really busy attending classes, studying and taking exams. However, those are not relating to ICAEW. Internship Experience in Ryokan (旅館 - Japanese-styled Hotel)

'いらっしゃいませ' (Irasshaimase!)、'ありがとうございます' (Arigatou gozaimasu!) Very common terms but the most polite terms. These 2 terms accompanied me during my whole internship period.  If you do not know, I internship-ed in Japan for 2 months in the service industry. To know how I came across this internship opportunity, click here .  The ryokans, aka Japanese-styled hotel, that I worked in were Takimotokan Yukinosato (滝元館遊季の里) and Umi no Hana (海の花). They are luxury ryokans strategically located closed to tourist attractions, which provide great hospitality and ultimate relaxation to the guests. Internship Experience in Ryoutei (料亭)

Ryoutei is a luxurious traditional Japanese restaurant, which served kaiseki style meals for business and formal meetings (source from Wikipedia). Everyone that goes to a Ryoutei has a purpose. It is not just a simple filling the stomach meal. It can be a business meeting, a celebration, a family meeting, a book sharing session, a reunion, a party or any occasion you can think of, which is why the customers going there are usually dressed formally. Having said that, anyone are welcomed to visit a ryoutei to enjoy the exquisite, delicate meal prepared by a qualified chef and served by the beautiful omotenashi-san (something like waitress?). However, do remember to make a reservation in advance as meals are prepared freshly according to the number of customers.
