About: The story starts with Hibino Tsubaki who is a hard-working middle school girl who dresses old-fashionably and always braids her hair. As she enters high school, she wants to change for the better by dressing cutely, but does not bring herself to do so. She dresses as always and goes to a new high school which is not of her choices. Not being in the school she desires and failing to be in the first place in the entrance exam, she is curious as to whom is the top student. It turns out to be a long haired guy who doesn't seem to care anything, yet he is handsome and popular - Tsubaki Kyouta. Tsubaki then finds her in the same class with Kyouta, what's more, sitting next to him. Her impression of Kyouta is of a bad one yet Kyouta further provokes her by calling her a showa girl. Angered by what he said, Tsubaki cuts of his hair which leads to the start of her nightmare in high school - being in Kyouta's bet of making her falling in love with him. Will Tsubaki falls in love with this ruthless guy? How will Tsubaki survive in her high school when the girls are jealous of her being with Kyouta?

Although this manga is more towards romance, what attracted me to this manga is the latter part where all high school students face eventually - the future. Pressured by her mother who wants her to enter into elite university, Tsubaki works very hard to achieve excellent results to get a recommendation letter to one of the elites. However, she does not know what she wants to do in the universities. There is no dream that she can find in those elite universities. During her middle school, she had once told her mum she wants to be a hair stylist as she has deep interest in it. However, her mother refused her career choice and wanted her to enter an elite or she will regret her choice later. Facing the situation of not wanting to disappoint her mum and not knowing what she wants to do, she is at a loss. What will she choose? Parents or dream?

I can totally relate to Tsubaki at this point as our situation are almost the same, the difference is only the choice of career. I do understand my parents insecure and worries and it is true that I do not know my dream and interest bring me anywhere in the future, but that is what I like to do. Even though I might be facing a situation where I am totally bad at, compare to what I don't like to do, I am more willing to face the situation, and in fact, hone the necessary skills so that I can face the situation next time. There might also be less complaining and whining on my side. However, I fail to convince my parents till now and stuck at a point where I constantly going back and forth, being a failure as a child and miserably not being able to face my own true self. This is mainly the reason why I want to share this manga to everyone and to you, who are still in a dilemma. Chase your dream, do what you are interested in it. Even though you fail or regret later, at the very least, you satisfied your own dream, you can face yourself. If possible, do anything in your power so that your parents can acknowledge your choice.

Well, well, back to not so serious topic. It is the 20s drawing and they are defined, clear and clean, making it really easy to read. They are really cute too.

Now, quickly indulge yourself in this beautiful romance!
