ICSS (Round 1)

Hiii!!  I was really busy last week,  so didn't really get to update. 

As I have told you in one of the previous posts,  I have joined a competition,  in which BrandImage International Consultant is in search of an Image Consultant.  The competition is spread over 5 consecutive Sundays. And last Sunday was the first. 

My first ever self make up (can't really see anything though) 

The competition is held at Hotel Capri by fraser from 9.30am to 4.00pm. There were a series of speech and introduction. During one of the introduction games (bingo game), I successfully won a gift - a 'Chance' in the next round of competition. It allows me to request for something other participants do not have,  which I think is a benefit for me since most of the participants are professional in beauty industry.

After the lunch, which is sponsored by Capri Hotel,  the competition started at 2.00pm. The competition theme was High Powered Political Lady and the tagline was "Captivate,  Command and Conquer".

For this round of competition, we were told to bring one of our friends (I brought my cousin brother instead) and their task were to act as an image consultant for us, competitors.  Though they were given the task to choose our outfits,  we (competitors) had to do our makeup and hairdo by ourselves,  with our friends helping to give opinions.  The company's image consultants and 2 external trainers were there to advice us whenever we need .  

As I have no experience in makeup,  my action was really slow,  like a sloth.  Just to add the eyeliner took 15 minutes (by that time my sister had finish the make up and went to change her outfit). Because of this, the consultants in charge of my group were really worried about me. They gave a lot of advices and tips on making up. As the time was running up,  they even helped me with my hair. My cousin brother who has no experience in all this thing was really worried too. He tried his best to help even though he knows nothing,  which I appreciated it so so much. Because of my cousin brother's beautiful bulky body and his action,  he gained a lot of attention from the organiser.

After the competition ended,  came the judging process. We,  included our friends, had to give some 'speech'. I didn't really know what to talk since the clothes we wore were what we brought from house and not choosing from a sponsored store.  We were also told to bring professional clothes beforehand. So, no matter how we dress up, we can't really run away from the theme.

In the end, 3 winners were chosen, with no sequence. However, the competition is not based only on the marks given by the judge. Marks is also allocated to the likes in facebook. It's in a ratio of 60:40. 

After announcing the winner,  the judges also gave some feedback and what should be improved to fit into this theme.
