Unplanned food trip

Happy Winter Solstice, everyone!!

Coming back with another post full of food (it's nothing extravagant though).

It looks like I'm a frequent guest of Sunway Pyramid since secondary school. It's hardly anywhere further. This time round the food is also in Sunway Pyramid. The eating part was actually after I had done doing the things that I have to do yesterday. As they were nothing worth to remember, I'll skip to the food part.

I've been craving for cakes lately since my aunt hasn't been making one. Thus, the first food was a dessert from Nadeje. The shop is decorated with royal blue finish and white furniture, giving it a classy feel. It specialises in variety of mille crepe cakes and is mainly distinguished between alcoholic and non-alcoholic cakes. Unlike the usual chocolate range cake, I ordered Royal Milk Tea.

Royal Milk Tea
Royal Milk Tea is made of Japanese tea with fresh cream. The perfect blend of tea is unexpectedly fragrant, giving it an extremely pleasant smell when send in to the mouth. I immediately fell in love with this cake.

There's also a Christmas special cake - a chocolate mint mille crepe. I was hesitated to order it as the flavour seems quite common to me, maybe for ice cream, but not cake. Maybe I'll try it next time.

My sister joined us for dinner after she was done with her work. She introduced us to a Japanese restaurant that served pork that she had tried the other day - Sho Kushiage. Sho Kushiage has this very special and fun way of eating pork.

First, you grind the sesame.

Then, you mix in the Pork Chop Sauce that they have prepared.

Finally, dip your pork into it. The sauce is quite similar to the sauce in BBQ plaza, but a little more salty and there's the sesame fragrance to it.

We ordered these 2 sets:

Chicken cutlet set
Char Siew Ramen
I remembered they called it grilled pork neck something
The chicken cutlet didn't really taste extra special. It was just like the chicken cutlet in any other stores. For the ramen, it would have been better if the pork weren't that much fat, it somehow killed my appetite.

The final food was cheese tart from Tokyo Secret. They came out with a new flavour - purple sweet potato tart and a Christmas special - white chocolate. Both costs RM 8.90 each.

Originally, my sister wanted to buy the original flavour for my aunt but it sold all out and they weren't going to rebake it anymore. So, we decided with these 2 flavours.

Purple sweet potato cheese tart
I supposed the tart had been baked for quite some time as it did not flow anymore and it is not smooth compared to the one from De' Lava. In my opinion, it was quite sweet but others said it was ok.

White Chocolate cheese tart
The white chocolate cheese tart tastes like the original cheese tart with just another layer of raspberry jam. Although the sweetness and the sourness are ok, they should have sieved the seed away as the seeds are really hard. The texture too is not smooth. This Christmas special menu only available until 25th of dec.

That's all that we ate yesterday. As today is Winter Solstice, my aunt made something special, which I will write in the next post.
