A very short update!

Hello, peeps!! Just a very short update to not keep my blog inactive for such a long period. So, all my classes and tests are over (well, not all, I will be having additional test this Sunday 😭😭) and in 10 days time, I will be having my finals!!! 😨😨 Even though I have so done so many questions and attended all the revision classes, I am still not very satisfied with my performance. So, I will be doing some last minute drilling from now and hope that I will not be distracted (trying really hard for this 😅😅). And so, I am very sorry for leaving until then. I will be sure to post a few things (and hopefully a few videos) after the finals. Till then.👋

Drama review: Nightmare Teacher 악몽선생

Image
Hello!! This past few weeks I was having exams. Though I couldn't say that they all went well, but I decided to take a little break (more like I couldn't resist my urge to watch something). So, I decided to watch a short Korean drama (as in less than 20 minutes for an episode). To my surprise, this drama is extremely good and although I have never written a review about a drama, I decided to write this. "It would be good if others can get something from it," that's what I think.  So, this drama that I want to share is Nightmare Teacher 악몽선생. Image from DramaWiki It is about some mysterious events that happen in a school. It all starts when a temporary teacher replaces an injured teacher and wants to give counselling to the students, which he claims that the counselling will benefit them. However, the counselling he gives is not an ordinary one. It seems that the students who went for his counsel, have their wishes fulfilled, but disappear mysteriously...

Manga: NG Life

Image
Hey, it's been a while since I last posted something about manga. This time I found a good one, written and illustrated by Kusanagi Mizuho. This manga artist is quite a famous one, I would say. She is the author of Akatsuki no Yona, which is a hit manga. However, today, I'm not going to write about this manga, but another manga, which I think it has quite a unique storyline.  Genre: Drama, Gender Bender, School Life, Historical, Romance, Comedy Status: Completed Chapters: 51 chapters, 3 sides About: This story revolves around a high school guy, named Keidai Saeki, who unlike others around him, remembers about his past life. He always remembers about the past and gets messed up with those who have been reincarnated as his friends and family. What's more to this story is that the one he always longs for, his wife in his past life, reincarnated as a middle school boy living as his neighbour. This leads to a series of drama and comedy. As he is always t...

Difference between ACCA and ICAEW written by Dheeraj Vaidya

Hello!! Though I did say I am to be in study mode for 3 weeks, my hand could not leave the touch of my phone and I stumbled across this interesting article today. And so I thought I want to share this article to everyone who could not decide on whether to pursue your study in ACCA or ICAEW, and hence a very short post today. It is an article written by Mr. Dheeraj Vaidya. It includes a short introduction of ACCA and ICAEW, where it covers information on the number of stages, duration of examination, professional fee and etc. The article also reveals the difference between ACCA and ICAEW in terms of global recognition, regulation, duration of course, job relevancy, flexibility, the scale of toughness in terms of exam and, the most important, the salary difference. Lastly, it covers the reasons why you should pursue your study in either ACCA or ICAEW. So, if these are the questions you are dying to know, then click on this link .  All in all, it is what you want that hel...

My First ICAEW Test (NOT finals)

Image
Have been disappearing for the past 2 weeks, mainly due to the progress test in the 9th and 10th, and partly due to my laziness. Hahaha. Last week, was my first test of ICAEW paper. Unlike CFAB paper, ICAEW test is all done in handwriting, which is a huge transition from the CFAB computer-based exam. Apparently, ICAEW has the plan to change ICAEW tests from handwriting into using computer as well. However, due to certain circumstances, the plan is delayed. Currently, I am taking Audit and Assurance (AA) and Financial Management (FM)  paper. The test duration is 2 and a half hour and as usual the passing mark is 55. Like usual, I entered a room and start with the test. After the stated time, the invigilators collected our answer booklet and passed us the answer sheet. The results, of course, we had to wait as it needs to be marked by someone unlike CFAB test, which is graded automatically by the computer. I heard from my friends that the papers may not be marked by the lect...

Seminar on Korean Celebrities + My first ski experience !!!

Image
Now back to my adventure in Korea.  15th of Feb Today, we had another seminar about Korean wave, not in Korea University, but in Seoul National University. Unlike the topic previously, which was too much to comprehend for me, this topic Korean-wave Celebrities between Nationalism and Commercialism was much lighter. It was about the definition of Korean celebrities in the perspective of Koreans and in the eyes of foreigners, what the Koreans expect from their celebrities and what the celebrities should do to not be involve in any controversies, lectured by Dr Olga Fedorenko. As we all know, Koreans have high expectations of their celebrities. They defined the Korean celebrities as someone who is patriotic, abide the laws, a good citizen and a role model to the citizens. This is also why the Koreans think highly of the celebrities who joined the compulsory military service (for guys) in Korea and criticise those that did not. Besides being patriotic, they are expect to n...

Spartan Super 2016

Image
Hey everyone!!! My classes started this week!!! My first 2 papers for this semester are Audit and Assurance and Financial Management. As always, our lecturers started the lecture with some scares, jokes and without further wasting time, they started with the first few chapters. Also, meeting with my friends after a semester felt so good. We had lots of talking and catching up. Of course, I did not fail to ask about the situations last semester. Seems bad to me with the low passing rate for the school tests but, surprisingly, they told me that the actual was easier compared to the internal exams. Anyway, I hope I can cope with all the stress but for today, I'm not going to talk more about ICAEW. What I'm about to talk is an extremely fun activity that I participated on the 20th of March, which means last Sunday - Spartan Super Race!!! Earlier this year, I registered this race together with my friends, my sister and my cousin. I participated this race because I have always fo...
