Japanese Baked Cheese Tart Hype!

Image
Good day, peeps!! You know how Japanese baked cheese tart is the hype now. Being a cheese lover, how could I not try it? In the previous post, Just a Day Out , I have tried my first Japanese baked cheese tart. And now, I came across another 2 Japanese baked cheese tarts which I did not hesitate to buy it, despite my tight budget. So, let's not drag on and start now. Good Taste Cake House (RM4.50) I believed the shop owner caught on to this hype and released this new "member". It boasts as its best seller. Compared to the Hokkaido baked cheese tart, this is considerably cheaper. The appearance of this tart, I would say not as attractive as the one I have tried. The crust crumbles very easily and therefore I decided to use a spoon instead. The crust has a cakey consistency probably because it has been out from the oven for long and thus has absorbed the moisture of the cheese. The baked cheese is creamier, more sour and cheesier compared to the Hokkaido...

My results are out!!!

Hey, just like I promise in the previous post. A post right after my first semester's result was out yesterday!!! The result was supposed to release at 7.00pm (12pm in UK). Due to technical problem, I was not able to know my marks until 12 am in the morning. However, I do know whether I passed or failed my test as they have a list on the ICAEW's website. Well, that's what matter the most. As per my lecturer, it doesn't matter what marks you get. If you got more than 55 marks,  it is just a bonus, you are putting too much effort in it, unless you got the World's price. That's a different thing. (Well, this is to be taken as a joke, so that we are not too stress about it). Since I am totally not aiming for that but just to do the best I could in the examination, I just need a pass. Nothing more, nothing less.  As soon as I got back home, I immediately went to check my result by scrolling through the hundreds of names to find my name. Guess what I got?  ...

Updates and Not Important Announcement

Hello!!! Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all Muslims and Happy Holidays to the non-muslim. Here is to my updates. My second semester started last Friday. The classes have been long and intense. Everything speeds up as our semester has shortened from 3 months to 2 months, including the Raya holiday. After Raya, my schedule would be even like a madman, mostly comprising of only classes, tests, study and revision, and maybe a little exercise (hoping not to gain anymore weight as I have gained about 4 kg during my first semester T.T) and playing with phone? Not more than that. Anymore than that would mean that I'm sacrificing my sleep to be doing it. That being said, I guess my outdoor activity is minimal to zero (I'm pretty sure that there is time for this, it is just that I'm very bad, VERY BAD, at balancing study and life). If I pass these 2 subjects, I suppose my life would be easier later. Depend on circumstances, there might be a huge change to my decision but don...

Just a day out

Another shopping day!! This time not Sunway Pyramid but Empire Shopping Gallery. I usually don't go Empire as the things there are not cheap, more of a higher class goods. The reason  I went there was because I heard that the Popular in Empire was having sales, but apparently we missed it. So, it became like a food hunting day instead.  First, my sister and I went to this store that sells Hokkaido baked cheese tart as I have long seen this tart in Facebook and wanted to try for once. To my surprise, it costs RM 5.30 each, which is quite expensive, but still there was quite a long queue. They have this buy 5 free 1 promotion for RM 29. However, I bought only one as I am not the type who will buy a large amount of things if I have not confirm they are my cup of tea. No point wasting money (the cheapskate me). Another reasons are that I am really tight on budget now after coming back from Korea and there are 3 babies in this month.  Tadaa!! Fresh cheese tart Cl...

Volunteering + Samsung D'Light + Ojju 오쭈

Image
Even though four months have passed since I was back from Korea, I can't seem to forget those happy, relaxing and cold days. So, I'm going to continue to write from where I left of.  17th of Feb Before the Lunar New Year, we promised to read storybooks with the kids again, which led to the afternoon activity - volunteering. However, not all of us got "kids" this time. A few of us got teenagers, including me. Initially, I rejected it as my English isn't really good and I wasn't confident enough to teach them broken English. I heard Korean kids are good in grammar and vocabulary, the part they are having trouble might only be speaking. However, my friends kept pushing me to read with them adding with the fact that I afraid kids, I had to accept it. This decision I made might probably be the worst decision ever. A nightmare.  After a short self-introduction, we got to pick the "kids" we want or the other way round. I got the only girl amo...

A Day Out after Finals...

Image
What to do after final?  Shopping of course! However, it is more towards present shopping (this is what happen when there are 3 June babies in a family...😱). So, my sister and I went to the usual place - Sunway Pyramid (again...😒) to hunt presents for my mum and my cousin. Before the hunt started, we went for a lunch. It was a disappointing one. The price and the taste.  It was a new Japanese restaurant located in Hotel West of Sunway Pyramid. We ordered Tonkotsu Ramen.  It is presentable but it is extremely salty. For the price of RM 25, the pork they gave is only one piece. ONE PIECE 😭😭. How???. Aren't the usual 2 or 3 pieces? We came to a conclusion that the rental must be really expensive and a high markup on the food. However, there are still something that I like about this restaurant. The spoon. The atmosphere. Then, we continued the hunt. We found something for our mum but we do not have much cash in hand. So, we decided to delay t...
